Big Delafield crowd welcomes the band
If the rest of 2010 is as good as our opening night in Delafield on Feb. 27, then we will have a truly great year. Our first gig of the year drew a large and enthusiastic crowd to Revere's Wells Street Tavern in downtown Delafield. From the opening song to the last chord of the night, everyone danced, cheered and applauded. We were so thrilled and honored to be able to play before such a great audience. We had fans all the way from Wisconsin Rapids to nearby Hartland and all points in between in attendance. Thanks to Revere's for inviting us to play, and thanks to the big crowd for coming out to see us. Also a big thanks to the kitchen crew for allowing us to cart our gear through your work space, and to John the bartender for keeping the crowd liquefied. We hope to come back soon.
More details for Delafield gig
We have a few more details about next weekend's gig, from 8 p.m. to midnight Feb. 27, at Revere's Wells Street Tavern, 505 Wells St., Delafield. This is our first time playing at this downtown Delafield establishment, so we'd like all of our fans to check out this new place. The tavern has an upstairs and downstairs divided into several spacious and unique rooms. We'll be playing in the downstairs main room, which features classic wood floors, exposed brick walls and a fireplace. We're told this is a non-smoking room. There are other separate rooms downstairs, including a game room where smoking is allowed. And the Wells Street Tavern serves great food (call 262-646-4070 for details). If Brandon can figure out how to set up our new sound system, we'll begin playing at 8 p.m. and end at midnight. We'll be playing three sets of way more than one hour each, and we'll be highlighting some of our new material throughout the sets. Bring your digital cameras and send us photos of you and your group at the gig. We'll try to post as many as possible on this Web page.
Also, we're proud to announce that our two-county world tour this year has expanded to three counties. We'll be playing April 9 in Ozaukee County. Watch this page for more details of that gig.

The BJB World Tour 2010 begins
With Jim back in the fold and rehearsals well under way, the Brandon James Band announces the start of its 2010 World Tour -- OK, we'll admit it, we're talking Milwaukee County and Waukesha County tour so far -- but the rest of the world is not far behind. Our first date is Feb. 27 at Revere's Wells Street Tavern in downtown Delafield. The first Telecaster guitar-driven rock 'n' roll chord will be struck in anger at 8 p.m., an earlier start than usual, which should work well with our fans. We'll be playing three sets, and we'll play until midnight or until Mike breaks a bass string, whichever comes first. We'll be unveiling some new songs (check out our updated play list on this page) so we're hoping to see all of you there. Watch this page and our MySpace page (www.myspace.com/brandonjamesband), or follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/bjamesbandrocks for more updates on the rest of our summer schedule.
Jim's back, and new photos
Good news: Jim, our pedal steel guitar player, returned to rehearsals this week after spending nearly two months on the disabled list with a surgically repaired knee. It's great to have him back in the groove as we learn several new songs that we'll be adding to our playlist this spring. We'll be waiting for Jim's new knee to heal completely before we start playing out again. Meantime, check out some new photos on our photo page of our gig last May at Hal's Harley-Davidson. The photos were taken by photographer, graphics designer and Web producer Jeff Zmania. Enjoy!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year from the Brandon James Band to all of our fans. We hope that the new year finds everyone in good spirits and good health. After taking a break over the holidays, we're looking forward to a great 2010 filled with new songs and lots of gigs. Something new for the New Year: You can start following us on Twitter at BJamesBandrocks. Our new Facebook page is still under construction, but we should have that ready soon as well. Rock on!
Thanks for a great 2009!
Jim's knee replacement surgery (it went well) allowed us to shut down our performance schedule for the rest of the year so we can concentrate on rehearsing, learning new songs, preparing for studio work and getting organized for 2010. We had a great year, but it wouldn't have been successful without the support of you, our fans. Everyone has a busy schedule these days, and the economy has put a clamp on our wallets, so we realize the commitment it takes for our fans to come out and see our shows. Thanks to every single one of you. We think you'll enjoy the new songs we're learning. We may play a lot of music from the last century, but we're looking forward to connecting with more of you by using 21st century technology through our Web page, MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. We hope you have a joyous holiday season, and we're looking forward to seeing all of you again in 2010.
A unique wedding reception
Variety is the spice of life, and we've played in a variety of unusual venues this year. But nothing tops an auto showroom filled with classic cars. Congrats to the bride and groom, and thanks for inviting us to play in a truly remarkable setting.
Private party in Burlington
Who would have thought playing in a pole barn in the middle of a cornfield would be that much fun! Thanks to our generous hosts for inviting us to the party.
State Fair: Redux
A great outdoor afternoon gig, with a large crowd at the Miller Lite Stage and throughout the State Fair grounds. Thanks to all our family and friends for coming out to see us perform.
State Fair: More rain!
Severe thunderstorms cut short our performance, but we still had a blast. Thanks to the stage crew for helping keep our equipment dry! And thanks to everyone who braved the weather to see us play.
